OMG they finished the house!

Just kidding...but thanks to my husband's love of photoshop, we can start to pick out exterior paint colors. What do you think?

New Birdie Sling- Now 25% smaller!

I'm really enjoying the original Birdie Sling I made a few weeks ago. But it's REALLY big- so I copied the original pattern at 75% and made this smaller version. I also photographed the steps for anyone interested here.

Now off to make the next project- a shower curtain for the new house made from this Amy Butler Lotus fabric.

Silk Flower hair clip

I love local Austinite Amy Barber's flower hair clips, so I tried my hand at one myself. I used some various silk flowers, disassembled them, then sewed them back together with beaded detail. Then, I added some feathers and hot-gluged the whole thing to a hair clip- voila!

Bubble Pouch

My husband thinks this is totally useless- but agreed it's cute! For make-up, or a phone? This is from Keyka Lou- the site is great because the patterns are download- able, just pay and print! She also has great sewing tips and tutorials on her blog. I used Alexander Henry fabric on the exterior.

House Renovation continues.....

It's coming along...only 6 more months :-(

Hourglass Pillow!

I had so much Lotus fabric left over from the Birdie Sling, that I was able to make this great Hourglass pillow from Amy Butler's free downloads. It looks pretty sitting on top of a floor pillow I made a while back using some Ikea fabric.

Amy Butler Birdie Sling

Jebus! I can't stop sewing! I finished the Birdie Sling from Amy Butler- using some of her Lotus fabric. I love it! It's really big though- I think I will resize it down to 70% and make another.

Elvis Costello tribute pillow

I made this pillow by tracing the cover art from "My Aim is True." Inspired by Sumblime Stiching
